The facility is able to accept a wide range of waste including:
- Kitchen and garden waste
- Food waste from catering or manufacturing companies
- Source segregated municipal solid waste
- Green waste
- Category 3 ABP animal by-product waste
This waste is processed to produce renewable electricity and heat as well as PAS 110 accredited digestate and PAS 100 accredited compost.
The Facility
The plant comprises a 29,000 tonne capacity anaerobic digestion facility and a 19,000 tonne capacity in-vessel composting facility.
